Jess and Matt Update - -- OH WOW!!!!!

okay, so not much is or has been up with Matt he had minor knee surgery over the summer for a minicus tear.  So minor that the Dr told him it was full weight bearing after he woke up in recovery.  HAHA.  Only his knee is still super tight and weak.  So he's trying to stretch more to try and help strengthen it.

As for me well all kinds of stuff has been going on.

I didn't get to run the Marathon since i couldn't raise enough funds but not to worry I'm still running and working out to start running marathons this fall  (now).

Only i ended up tearing muscle, ligaments and tendons in my ankle in July and just barely got back to running full on last month (October)  Which really sucked because i started doing Gymnastics again in May and was almost back to my round off back handsprings on the floor.  BLAHHHH.

And know I'm out for another 8+ weeks due to surgery.

Yep, yuck.....  Wed, 10/26, my wonderful Father-n-law took me to the hospital cause i was having some major pain (and when i say major i mean major since i have a pretty high tolerance).  any who we got there about 815ish in the morning and it took lots of Morphine, and x-ray, 2 sonograms and a cat scan to figure out that i had cysts and an appendix issue. so at about 8pm i ended up having surgery to remove the appendix clean up the cyst that ruptured and biopsy the two other cysts i have.  What they thought would be an easy fix turned out to be a little more then they planned for once they opened me up.  So the normal 3 week time frame for the appendix surgery went out the door and I'm at 8+ weeks before i can resume my normal life again. The really sucky thing is I've been home ridden a week now and technically I'm supposed to be till the end of next week.  No WAY!

the Plus i can't drive right now.  since the issues are so close to the nerves that run thru the legs i can't move quick enough to stop my car.  LAME.....   But hey, i think I've watched all my movies for a second time since i bought them all and I have an excuse not to due house work not even light housework or lift anything 5 lbs or heavier.  Hey Dr's orders!!!!!

So all in all I am now in better health and on my way to being fully healthy again which is wonderful....  Thank God for my family, who has been helping me get around the house, out of bed, up from the coach and picking my kids up and taking them to and from school and practices, if it weren't for them i'd be stressing big time.

I've also been making bows for people and I'll get some pics up this weekend so everyone can see what I've been up to beside chauffeuring kids around, moving and getting sick.  The only reall plus has been Matt driving the kids around and realizing how much time i don't have in the day by doing it.

Family Update

So we've moved.

We actually moved September 1st to a property where we are county instead of city.  I have my vary own farmville.  hahahah

The house is decent size, needs a little work (Matt's favorite) and is on a little over and acre lot.  It's really nice to have so much land for the dogs to run and the kids to ride the quads in the back when ever they want.  there are only 6 houses on our street and no room for more so it will always be nice and quite.

Thankfully my Father-n-law, and brother-n-law came over to help clean up the back with all the stumps and dead hay, it made such a difference when we got it half way cleaned up and can't wait till we get the rest done.

Then I'll have my own Garden (big one) and my stables and chickens.  Oh yeah, our neighbor is a friend and is giving us horses once we get our yard done their stables / corrals are built.  Yeah, we have so many trails to ride and horses are wonderful animals.  they are calming and soothing and you enjoy life so much when your riding, it helps take away the stress of everyday life for at least a little while.

so that's about it for the family update no additional big news.

Kaleb Update

let's see he's now 8 years old, doing okay in school but we are having some issues with math we are trying to work out.

you know of any great math techniques for multiplication, division and fractions let me know.  We are trying everything.

he's still doing gymnastics and starts competing next month, and he is doing awesome. I'll post more details about his comp when i get them.

Kaleb as always is a wonderful help to me around the house and is doing great in life.

He has sign ups for basketball coming up and will begin playing baseball agian in february.

Sara Update

This year has been pretty kool for Sara.

She tired out for a larger Cheer Gym, one that has 5 gyms in California and is the largest gym in California.  She's currently on two teams and working her but off.  Her tumbling is coming along and her stunting is becoming more fun to watch.  Can't wait for their comp season to begin next month.

if your around and interested she has an exhibition in Santa Anna on December 4th.  Then we are in Vegas the weekend of the 17th - 20th at the MGM.

The kool thing about this gym is there is a trainer for the parents to work out with while the kids are at practice and they do  major fundraising like working charger games.  yeah less money out of our pockets.

Sara is now 13, wow a teenager where does the time go.  I  look at her now and know my little girl is growing up and no longer the little girl that loves to play and laugh when you tickle her.  except there are many times she still acts like she is my little angle who's maybe 5-8 years old and everyone knows she shorter then most 9 year olds.

School is going well for her and she is wizzing thru and expected to be in a mix traditional and independent study program next year (freshman year) so she'll have some classes at the HS and some at the Jr College.

my smart, beautiful little girl is growing up to become a wonderful young lady.

Rhinestone and Bows and more Rhinestones!!!!!!

November 2009 - it's been a while  THis was in my posts to be posted.

First off it's been awhile since i posted anything so i'm going to play catch up.

These last two weeks i've been Rhinestoning like crazy!!!! Since i'm the so helpful so crafty mom on Sara's All-Star team i took all the new uniforms shells, and skirts home to get them Rhinestoned.

Okay, so it's my second season and i've become a pro. It would take to long and i'm just anal about things like that so i did them all rather then explaining and having each parent do their kids.

Don't they look pretty!

Now before i even reached the uniforms i had to make 35 new bows for competition and then get them half way Rhinestoned for the parents to help finish them.

Yeah they turned out wonderful. I've actually been making money from bows, who would of thought.....

Kaleb is the Champinion

So Kaleb's first year playing basketball was a success; they are undefeated and took the 1st place with a season on 10-0!

way to go KALEB!!!

CURES ROCK!!!!!!!

RUNNING TO FIND CURES FOR BLOOD CANCER

Most of you will never believe this but it's true.

I'm currently training to run the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon (26.2 miles) in June. Yes you read it right, it's not a typo. I'm really doing it and here's why.

Each day we all pass by friends, family, teachers, adults, children and strangers. We don't know what their lives are like and at times we think our lives are worse off. I know there have been many times I've thought that, and even though my family has gone thru some pretty ruff times, nothing in our life compaires to the those individuals whom are diagnosed with or lose their lives to leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, myeloma and other blood related cancers each day. A lot of people don't know that even Breast Cancer is a form of Blood Cancers.

A good friend convinced me to join Team In Training to help find raise money to find Blood Cures, but it wasn't until the other night listening to different people speak about the cause and hearing that every 4 minutes someone is diagnosed and every 10 minutes a life is lost that I really understood and knew why. This cause may not affect me directly but it does affect me. You never know what can happen in your life time and one day I might be told someone I know has been diagnosed and I'll want to do everything in my power to help them overcome it. This is how i can do it!!!!

I've started training in order to participate in one of many to come, endurance events as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

I will be completing the San Diego Rock 'n' Roll Marathon (26.2 miles) and future events in honor of all those individuals who are battling blood cancers.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.

on the right of our blogg it shows my fund-raising progress and links you to my webpage where you can donate safely online any amount you want and are able too.

I'll be posting updates on this blogg and on my webpage to show my progress and the gruling training ahead of me. I know this will hurt, I'll be exhausted and at times I'll probably want to give up, but i won't. This grueling training will be nothing compared to what those diagnosed individuals go thru in their life and I'm glad to be apart of a much larger community trying to help find cures.

Thanks for your support!

Sara - Cheer Jamz 2010

So here's the first video of Sara's partner stunting career this year.

Every January NCE competes at Cheer Jamz which is a local SD comp hosted by Cheer Force SD; only this year Sara got to show her stuff while partner stunting.

They did really good. They took 1st and the judges all said they were a strong partner stunt group and they enjoyed watching them.

The next comp they go to will have more difficulty in way of stunting so I'll be sure to post them as we go to them

catching up

so it's been awhile and i thought I'd update on how things are going.

Christmas was a good, New years was good. We spent time in the desert and it was much needed.

I've spent a lot of time in Riverside dealing with all things my brother.

Kaleb has started Gymnastics and he's doing great. He's only been in 2 months and is moving up to PRE-TEAM next month. He's super strong and this gets him to use his energy. We also just signed him up to play baseball again. so he's going to be pretty busy soon.

Sara started competing her first comp we took 2nd and the last comp they took 1st and also took 1st in partner stunting. They did amazing and this is definitely going to be a good year for the team.

Matt and I are doing well, he's working hard am I'm still a stay at home mom and would love a housekeeper.
