Little bit of everything

lets, see I got bored today while cleaning the house and decided to write something.

Sara believe it or not is now 12 years old. She's 1 of 2 sixth graders who have been asked and meet the scholastic requirements to play softball for Light & Life's Middle School Team. The team is mainly 7th and 8th graders but their principal asked her to play because he knows she'd bee good for the team. she'll pitch and play 2nd or short, depending on how much she pitches. Her All-Star team is working hard and she's now in all the stunt sequences. I'll make sure to get a video posted after our April International comp coming up. so everyone can see what she's been up to.

Kaleb, not much to say at the moment. He's doing well in school and has started tumbling at the YMCA, right now he can do a kart-wheel, round-off and is working on a back-handspring. He wants to be like Mykeal one of the boys on Sara's team that does all the "kool flips and holds the girls up". (his words) so we started tumbling to see if he'll like how much work it is. We're also looking into karate. He'd like to play football again but right now he doesn't make the weight for Jr Mitey-Mite which is the first year tackle. (since it would be the last year he could play and only year he'd be able to play tackle with no risk of head trauma)

Matt, is busy working like crazy. if he's not at work then he's at his friends house helping them improve and older warn down home they bought, and if not there he's currently working for Mike and Deb remodeling their main bathroom. Matt, is also playing roller hockey with a bunch of buddies. It's fun to watch!!!!

Then there's me, not doing much work since I've gone to being a stay at home mom. Man you'd think my house would be cleaner though! I spend my time reading books, I've gone thru 5 books already this month. I forgot how much i enjoyed reading. I'm still involved with Pop Warner here and am the current season secretary so i do all the paperwork end and make sure we have what we need. I'm also studying to get my Real Estate License and eventually I'll just get my brokerage license so i can do everything. I figure if I'm going to be a stay at home mom I can still enjoy working on my terms and Real Estate even though not so hot right now would allow me to do so. I've also started going back to the gym (4 days a week) this way i can keep my sanity by staying busy and like any other mother to lose the xtra weight since i getting married and having kids.

We'll that's pretty much all we've been up to lately. I know were planning a trip to the desert 1 last trip before it gets to hot.

Kaleb's 7

Wow..... where does the time go. Kaleb turned 7 this morning at 3:45am.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KALEB !!!

Every Kid wants to eat junk food and play with friends or have there birthday some where cool. Poor Kaleb is spending his birthday ill and sleeping on the coach.

At least he's finally getting a skateboard, so once he's better we can add to the scars, scraps and bruises he already has.

COA Nationals (3/14 - 3/15)

Cheerleading can be pretty brutal.... Sara's all star team competed in Irvine past weekend at COA Nationals which is a huge event held at the UC Irvine Bren Center. We all knew going into this weekend was going to be rough with so many of our team members being sick and a couple members being slightly injured prior to the event.

Sara sucked it up and so did the rest of the team, and even though Sara and so many other team members weren't in good health they did a wonderful job.

Carrissa, one of our injuried team mates (shoulder Injury) does a wonderful job holding Sara up with Joey's help. Two Man stunts with girls holding the girls in the air give us more points, then a boy holding the flyers.

The coaches even changed parts of the routine from Saturday's comp to Sunday's and they all did great. They even told the team after competing that no matter whats happens they are very proud of them all for competing when some were ready to pass out, some wanted to sleep, some throw-up and some were hurting do to injuries.

The coaches telling them they did a good job was nice to hear since they don't usually tell the kids that.

Unfortunately, the illness and injuries didn't play to our favor and they just weren't as clean as the other teams so we took 5th place out of 6. It's all good though, three weeks ago we placed 3rd out of 7 in Las Vegas; and we still have the Varsity All Levels International Competition Coming up in April.
